Leigh on Mendip WI
Meeting: Monday 14 September 2015 at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall
Welcome and
introduction of Speakers: Mary welcomed everyone and introduced our speakers,
Audrey and Jean, who gave a short demonstration of the art of Decopatch.
Craft session: Members were then given the chance to have a go at covering
a range of boxes, bowls or plant pots with tissue paper and glue and produced a
wonderful array of items which were taken home at the end of the evening. A
vote of thanks was given by Sue Rodford at the end of the session, which was
then followed by a short business meeting.

Minutes of Last Meeting: The minutes, having been read by all members, were agreed
and signed by Mary as a true record.
Matters Arising:
Defibrillator – letter sent to PC,
waiting response.
Radstock
Museum
– some LOM items loaned for display. Several members volunteering as stewards.
Open 15 Sept to 29 Nov and members were encouraged to go along.
YMCA
Shoeboxes
– county collection. Please donate small
items suitable for young female 18-25 at October meeting or to Caroline by end
of Oct.
Feedback:
Frogmary
Farm Outing
– Mary reported on the visit, which was enjoyed by the small number of members
who were able to go. Members were asked
to think about whether they would like pre-arranged outings next year or to plan
these at shorter notice if something arises.
President’s
Evening
– 17 attended and enjoyed a lovely evening. Many thanks to Barbara for hosting
the event.

to pay Caroline the £3.50 cost tonight if possible or pay on the night. All
