Record of Meeting held on 14 March 2022

Record of Leigh-on-Mendip WI Meeting – Monday 14th March 2022 at 7.30 in Memorial Hall.

Caroline gave an update on the National Covid safety guidelines and thanked everyone for following our measures.

We had 4 visitors to the meeting and she welcomed them all.

Sue V spoke about Marguerite and gave everyone an update on the situation leading to her death. The chemo she was on was no longer working. She declined fairly quickly and peacefully. She had family with her, niece and daughter-in-law. She had the Last Rites. There will be a service held at St Benedicts, Stratton-on-the-Fosse at 2pm on Friday 1st April, followed by cremation at the Mendip Crematorium. Everyone is invited to a casual reception at the Bell Inn around 4.15pm.
