AGM 9 May 2016

AGM – 9 May 2016 held at the Memorial Hall

Presentation and adoption of the Financial Statement
All members were handed a copy of the Financial Statement for the year ended December 2015.  The balance is only slightly higher than last year due to not having paid out a Denman Bursary. We are also holding £130 on behalf of the Community Coffee Morning.  This good position is mainly to the funds received by our participation in the Village Summer Fair – if this were not to continue we would need to fundraise to pay our speakers.  We have ended the year with a Balance of £1006.41
There were no queries raised. Caroline proposed the adoption of the accounts and this was seconded by Gill Baker.

Secretary’s Report
Sue Rodford then read the Report prepared by Jan Pattison (copy attached).

President’s Address
Barbara adopted the Secretary’s report and then gave her own report – see full report below.

Ballot for President
Caroline conducted the Ballot for President.  Several nominees were unable to stand at present. Barbara accepted the position but she agreed to remain President only until someone else was willing to take over.
