Diaries, etc will be collected on the day.
YMCA Shoeboxes. We are
collecting again this year. Items needed
for young people (18-25, both men & women), eg small toiletries, cleaning
products, socks, sachets of drinks, sweets, etc. etc. We need 3 more boxes (ideally gift wrapped)
and 1-2 people to help Kaz collate and fill the boxes by mid November.
Summer Fair. First meeting
is on Wednesday evening. Members seem
willing to continue with participation. Jo
is our rep. Please speak to her about
any ideas, etc. There was mention at the
last meeting of making more of the “evening”.
Jan P gave some information on how Oakhill run their Summer Fair, which
is from 2pm through to late in the evening.

Group Carol Service –
Friday 7 December. This will be hosted by Beckington and will
start at 3pm. Names next month.
Village Christmas Tree
Festival – 8/9 December. We would like to decorate a tree for this
event. So far 2 ideas from our

Also suggested to cover many of the Resolutions that have been submitted
over the last 100 years (see WI Life).
Ideally would like a small group of members to set this up.
Christmas Gifts for
Foodbank. The Committee suggest it would be a good idea
to donate a special “Christmas” food gift instead of doing ‘Secret Santa’ at
our Christmas meal. Donations please at
the November meeting.

at Wells Cathedral – Wednesday 12 December at 2.30pm. £3 to
attend. Please let Caroline know
tonight.
