Jan gave an
update on the Village Community Plan. A
meeting was held last week to discuss some of the points raised in the
Questionnaire that went out last year. A
brief report along with the Parish Council annual letter will be delivered to
all households. Jan asked members what
was their preferred method of generally receiving info in the village. Flyers through doors, posters and Village
Facebook were preferred options. Not
many people look at Village Website. No
other means of communications were suggested.

evening Saturday 16th
Welcome: Neil Clarke came for a return visit giving
us an interesting talk and film show on the wonders of Iceland. The island
country is the world's 18th largest in area and one of most sparsely
populated. Neil made two visits in 2015
– in February (when it was really freezing cold) and again in October. Both times he had an amazing time starting in
the capital Reykjavik with its striking Cathedral and then going into the
surrounding countryside seeing the rare breed horses, the Blue Lagoon and the
thermally heated greenhouses growing tomatoes and vegetables all year round. Travelling to the mountain ranges and
glaciers he even went caving.
